Album Redesigns
Services: Art Direction, Typography, Visual Identity, Print Design
Project Description:
This album redesign project explored the relationship between music and visual storytelling through a series of conceptual album covers. The objective was to reinterpret existing albums using different design approaches, including typography-driven compositions, image-based solutions, and designs that combined both typography and imagery. Through experimentation with hierarchy, composition, color, and visual narrative, I developed multiple concepts that each captured the mood, themes, and personality of the music in a unique way. This project challenged me to communicate emotion and meaning while adapting my design process to a variety of creative constraints.
I began by analyzing the album’s lyrics, themes, and overall atmosphere to establish a creative direction. Through typography exploration, image selection, color development, and layout experimentation, I created a refreshed visual identity that reflects my own interpretation of the artist's work.
Process:
Design Goals:
John Lennon, 'Imagine'
Combination of Image and Text Albums:
Image Only Albums:

Text Only Albums:
Nine Inch Nails, 'The Downhill Spiral'
TLC, 'CrazySexyCool'

This project challenged me to translate sound and emotion into a visual experience. Through experimentation with typography, imagery, and composition, I explored how graphic design can shape the way audiences connect with music.
