Brand Identity

Project Description:

Savin' Bacon is a conceptual mobile savings app designed to help young adults build healthier financial habits through an engaging and approachable user experience. Created as a branding and UX/UI design project, the concept combines goal-based saving tools with playful visual elements to make personal finance feel less intimidating. From the app's identity and user flows to the interface design, every aspect was developed to create a seamless experience that encourages users to save confidently and consistently.

Process:


01. Pitch
Each team presented three app concepts to the class. Savin' Bacon was selected as the idea our group would develop.

02. Plan
Researched user needs and outlined the app's core features and user flow.

03. Design
Created wireframes, developed the branding, and designed the app interface.

04. Refine
Incorporated feedback and finalized the concept for presentation.

Custom Icon Set:

Strengthening brand consistency, my team created a custom set of icons tailored to the visual identity of Savin’ Bacon. Each icon was designed to be both functional and reflective of the brand's modern brand.

This brand guide defines the visual identity for Savin’ Bacon, a conceptual savings app focused on making personal finance approachable and engaging. It establishes the logo, color palette, typography, and supporting visual elements that work together to create a friendly, trustworthy, and memorable brand experience.

To further explore the concept, I created an interactive prototype demonstrating how Savin' Bacon would function as a mobile application. The prototype allowed users to navigate key features, experience the app's user flow, and interact with the interface in a realistic way. Developing the prototype helped bridge the gap between branding and product design, showing how the visual identity could translate into a functional and engaging user experience.

Reflection

This project challenged me to think beyond visual design and consider how branding, user experience, and strategy work together to create a successful product. One of the most rewarding aspects was collaborating with a team throughout the entire process. From pitching initial concepts to developing the final app experience, working alongside my classmates allowed us to build on each other's ideas and create a stronger final solution. Through this project, I gained valuable experience in collaboration, presenting ideas, prototyping, and translating a concept into a cohesive brand and user experience.
